Director & Storyteller. 

 

Tabish Habib is an American Pakistani award winning filmmaker. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco in Media studies, Business and Film Studies. He recently completed a Master of Arts in Film & Television Production at the MetFilm School located at London's prestigious Ealing Studios. 

Tabish moved from San Francisco to Lahore and co-founded Piphany Productions with Danish Khawaja in March 2013. Since starting Piphany, Tabish has produced and directed branded content, commercials and documentaries for various brands such as the British Council, Coca Cola, Chai Wala, Coke Studio, Depilex, Destination magazine, Emporium Mall, GIZ, Generation, Getty Images, Human Development Foundation, Kitchen Cuisine, Lahore Music Meet, Music Mela, Shafaq Habib's House of Jewellery, Tactack, TRT World, Quetta Gladiators and World Bank.​

 

He has directed and produced music videos for various Pakistani artists such as the Biryani Brothers, Jimmy Khan, Janoobi Khargosh, Poor Rich Boy, Shorbanoor, Mai Dhai Band, Jaubi,

Mughal-e-Funk, Takatak & Keeray Makoray. 

 

His music video for Mai Dhai Band's"Sarak Sarak" won the Bee Hype award in 2014 and the documentary "Unforgettable Khusargang" was part of the official selection at the Cinema Verde Festival 2017. He also worked as Director of Photography on the short film, "Zom-Com" (directed by Nadir Shahzad) which won best film at the 48-Hour Film Festival 2018 in Pakistan. 

His thesis film at Met Film School, "May I have this seat?" is his first fiction short as a writer/director and earned him a first class distinction and made Official Selection at BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival, London Lift-Off Festival and Tasveer South Asian Film Festival.
